Our Mission
"The Indigenous Reclamation Association is committed to accelerating the restoration of ancestral lands, empowering and honouring Indigenous Communities, and upholding the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. We are led by Indigenous leaders who prioritize environmental remediation, responsible harvesting, cultural resurgence, and community enhancement in equal measure. Through these efforts, we aim to facilitate the reclaiming of sovereignty over natural resources and foster a harmonious relationship between Indigenous communities and their ancestral lands."
We are working to become an authority on Indigenous participation and the very first point of consultation regarding projects impacting our land and natural resources. We want to start our journey working with Indigenous contractors to remediate abandoned wells on reserve lands.
